| 中文 | 老年人哪，当听我的话。国中的居民哪，都要侧耳而听。在你们的日子，或你们列祖的日子，曾有这样的事吗。 |
| 英文 | Hear this, ye old men, and give ear, all ye inhabitants of the land. Hath this been in your days, or even in the days of your fathers? |

| 中文 | 你们要将这事传与子，子传与孙，孙传与后代。 |
| 英文 | Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children another generation. |

| 中文 | 酒醉的人哪，要清醒哭泣。好酒的人哪，都要为甜酒哀号。因为从你们的口中断绝了。 |

| 中文 | 田荒凉，地悲哀，因为五谷毁坏，新酒乾竭，油也缺乏。 |
| 英文 | The field is wasted, the land mourneth; for the corn is wasted: the new wine is dried up, the oil languisheth. |

| 中文 | 农夫阿，你们要惭愧，修理葡萄园的阿，你们要哀号，因为大麦小麦，与田间的庄稼，都灭绝了。 |
| 英文 | Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen; howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest of the field is perished. |

| 中文 | 葡萄树枯乾，无花果树衰残。石榴树，棕树，苹果树，连田野一切的树木，也都枯乾。众人的喜乐尽都消灭。 |

| 中文 | 祭司阿，你们当腰束麻布痛哭。伺候祭坛的阿，你们要哀号。事奉我神的阿，你们要来披上麻布过夜。因为素祭，和奠祭，从你们神的殿中断绝了。 |
| 英文 | Gird yourselves, and lament, ye priests: howl, ye ministers of the altar: come, lie all night in sackcloth, ye ministers of my God: for the meat offering and the drink offering is withholden from the house of your God. |

| 英文 | The seed is rotten under their clods, the garners are laid desolate, the barns are broken down; for the corn is withered. |

| 中文 | 牲畜哀呜，牛群混乱，因为无草。羊群也受了困苦。 |
| 英文 | How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate. |

| 中文 | 耶和华阿，我向你求告。因为火烧灭旷野的草场，火焰烧尽田野的树木。 |
| 英文 | O LORD, to thee will I cry: for the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness, and the flame hath burned all the trees of the field. |

| 中文 | 田野的走兽向你发喘。因为溪水乾涸，火也烧灭旷野的草场。 |
| 英文 | The beasts of the field cry also unto thee: for the rivers of waters are dried up, and the fire hath devoured the pastures of the wilderness. |
