| 中文 | 我们因着信，就知道诸世界是藉神话造成的。这样，所看见的，并不是从显然之物造出来的。 |
| 英文 | Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. |

| 中文 | 亚伯因着献祭与神，比该隐所献的更美，因此便得了称义的见证，就是神指他礼物作的见证。他虽然死了，却因这信仍旧说话。 |
| 英文 | By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. |

| 英文 | Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. |

| 中文 | 这些人都是存着信心死的，并没有得着所应许的，却从远处望见，且欢喜迎接，又承认自己在世上是客旅，是寄居的。 |
| 英文 | These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. |

| 英文 | For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. |

| 中文 | 他们若想念所离开的家乡，还有可以回去的机会。 |
| 英文 | And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. |

| 中文 | 他们却羡慕一个更美的家乡，就是在天上的。所以神被称为他们的神，并不以为耻。因为他已经给他们豫备了一座城。 |
| 英文 | But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. |
