| 英文 | But Job answered and said, |

| 中文 | 惟愿我的烦恼称一称，我一切的灾害放在天平里。 |
| 英文 | Oh that my grief were throughly weighed, and my calamity laid in the balances together! |

| 中文 | 现今都比海沙更重，所以我的言语急躁。 |
| 英文 | For now it would be heavier than the sand of the sea: therefore my words are swallowed up. |

| 中文 | 因全能者的箭射入我身，其毒，我的灵喝尽了。神的惊吓摆阵攻击我。 |
| 英文 | For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the terrors of God do set themselves in array against me. |

| 中文 | 野驴有草岂能叫唤，牛有料，岂能吼叫。 |
| 英文 | Doth the wild ass bray when he hath grass? or loweth the ox over his fodder? |

| 中文 | 物淡而无盐岂可吃吗，蛋青有什么滋味呢。 |
| 英文 | Can that which is unsavoury be eaten without salt? or is there any taste in the white of an egg? |

| 中文 | 看为可厌的食物，我心不肯挨近。 |
| 英文 | The things that my soul refused to touch are as my sorrowful meat. |

| 中文 | 惟愿我得着所求的，愿神赐我所切望的。 |
| 英文 | Oh that I might have my request; and that God would grant me the thing that I long for! |
第9段
| 中文 | 就是愿神把我压碎，伸手将我剪除。 |
| 英文 | Even that it would please God to destroy me; that he would let loose his hand, and cut me off! |

| 中文 | 我因没有违弃那圣者的言语，就仍以此为安慰，在不止息的痛苦中还可踊跃。 |
| 英文 | Then should I yet have comfort; yea, I would harden myself in sorrow: let him not spare; for I have not concealed the words of the Holy One. |

| 中文 | 我有什么气力使我等候。我有什么结局使我忍耐。 |
| 英文 | What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life? |

| 中文 | 我的气力岂是石头的气力。我的肉身岂是铜的呢。 |
| 英文 | Is my strength the strength of stones? or is my flesh of brass? |

| 中文 | 在我岂不是毫无帮助吗。智慧岂不是从我心中赶出净尽吗。 |
| 英文 | Is not my help in me? and is wisdom driven quite from me? |

| 中文 | 那将要灰心，离弃全能者，不敬畏神的人，他的朋友当以慈爱待他。 |
| 英文 | To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend; but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. |

| 中文 | 我的弟兄诡诈，好像溪水，又像溪水流乾的河道。 |
| 英文 | My brethren have dealt deceitfully as a brook, and as the stream of brooks they pass away; |

| 中文 | 这河因结冰发黑，有雪藏在其中。 |
| 英文 | Which are blackish by reason of the ice, and wherein the snow is hid: |

| 中文 | 天气渐暖就随时消化，日头炎热便从原处乾涸。 |
| 英文 | What time they wax warm, they vanish: when it is hot, they are consumed out of their place. |

| 中文 | 结伴的客旅离弃大道，顺河偏行，到荒野之地死亡。 |
| 英文 | The paths of their way are turned aside; they go to nothing, and perish. |

| 中文 | 提玛结伴的客旅瞻望。示巴同夥的人等候。 |
| 英文 | The troops of Tema looked, the companies of Sheba waited for them. |

| 中文 | 他们因失了盼望就抱愧，来到那里便蒙羞。 |
| 英文 | They were confounded because they had hoped; they came thither, and were ashamed. |
第21段
| 中文 | 现在你们正是这样，看见惊吓的事便惧怕。 |
| 英文 | For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are afraid. |

| 中文 | 我岂说，请你们供给我，从你们的财物中送礼物给我。 |
| 英文 | Did I say, Bring unto me? or, Give a reward for me of your substance? |

| 中文 | 岂说，拯救我脱离敌人的手吗。救赎我脱离强暴人的手吗。 |
| 英文 | Or, Deliver me from the enemy's hand? or, Redeem me from the hand of the mighty? |
第24段
| 中文 | 请你们教导我，我便不作声。使我明白在何事上有错。 |
| 英文 | Teach me, and I will hold my tongue: and cause me to understand wherein I have erred. |

| 中文 | 正直的言语力量何其大。但你们责备是责备什么呢。 |
| 英文 | How forcible are right words! but what doth your arguing reprove? |

| 中文 | 绝望人的讲论既然如风，你们还想要驳正言语吗。 |
| 英文 | Do ye imagine to reprove words, and the speeches of one that is desperate, which are as wind? |
第27段
| 中文 | 你们想为孤儿拈阄，以朋友当货物。 |
| 英文 | Yea, ye overwhelm the fatherless, and ye dig a pit for your friend. |
第28段
| 中文 | 现在请你们看看我，我决不当面说谎。 |
| 英文 | Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you if I lie. |
第29段
| 中文 | 请你们转意，不要不公。请再转意，我的事有理。 |
| 英文 | Return, I pray you, let it not be iniquity; yea, return again, my righteousness is in it. |
第30段
| 中文 | 我的舌上岂有不义吗。我的口里岂不辨奸恶吗。 |
| 英文 | Is there iniquity in my tongue? cannot my taste discern perverse things? |
