第1段
| 中文 | 耶利哥的城门因以色列人就关得严紧，无人出入。 |
| 英文 | Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. |

| 中文 | 耶和华晓谕约书亚说，看哪，我已经把耶利哥和耶利哥的王，并大能的勇士，都交在你手中。 |
| 英文 | And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour. |

| 中文 | 你们的一切兵丁要围绕这城，一日围绕一次，六日都要这样行。 |
| 英文 | And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. |

| 中文 | 他们吹的角声拖长，你们听见角声，众百姓要大声呼喊，城墙就必塌陷，各人都要往前直上。 |
| 英文 | And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him. |

| 中文 | 嫩的儿子约书亚召了祭司来，吩咐他们说，你们抬起约柜来，要有七个祭司拿七个羊角走在耶和华的约柜前。 |
| 英文 | And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD. |

| 中文 | 又对百姓说，你们前去绕城，带兵器的要走在耶和华的约柜前。 |
| 英文 | And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD. |

| 中文 | 约书亚对百姓说完了话，七个祭司拿七个羊角走在耶和华面前吹角。耶和华的约柜在他们后面跟随。 |
| 英文 | And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. |

| 英文 | And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. |

| 中文 | 约书亚吩咐百姓说，你们不可呼喊，不可出声，连一句话也不可出你们的口，等到我吩咐你们呼喊的日子，那时才可以呼喊。 |
| 英文 | And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout. |

| 中文 | 这样，他使耶和华的约柜绕城，把城绕了一次。众人回到营里，就在营里住宿。 |
| 英文 | So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp. |

| 英文 | And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD. |

| 英文 | And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days. |

| 英文 | And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times. |

| 中文 | 到了第七次，祭司吹角的时候，约书亚吩咐百姓说，呼喊吧，因为耶和华已经把城交给你们了。 |
| 英文 | And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. |

| 中文 | 这城和其中所有的都要在耶和华面前毁灭。只有妓女喇合与她家中所有的可以存活，因为她隐藏了我们所打发的使者。 |
| 英文 | And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent. |

| 中文 | 至于你们，务要谨慎，不可取那当灭的物，恐怕你们取了那当灭的物就连累以色列的全营，使全营受咒诅。 |
| 英文 | And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it. |

| 中文 | 惟有金子，银子，和铜铁的器皿都要归耶和华为圣，必入耶和华的库中。 |
| 英文 | But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD. |

| 中文 | 于是百姓呼喊，祭司也吹角。百姓听见角声，便大声呼喊，城墙就塌陷，百姓便上去进城，各人往前直上，将城夺取。 |
| 英文 | So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. |

| 英文 | And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword. |

| 英文 | And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her father, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. |

| 英文 | And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her father's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. |

| 中文 | 当时，约书亚叫众人起誓说，有兴起重修这耶利哥城的人，当在耶和华面前受咒诅。他立根基的时候，必丧长子，安门的时候，必丧幼子。 |
| 英文 | And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. |
